My Personal Website: More Than a Portfolio

This website is not just a digital résumé. It is a personal project designed to reflect how I think, how I work, and how I use technology to turn ideas and everyday needs into concrete solutions.

I built this platform as a central space to present my background, my projects, and my interests, but also as a place to experiment, learn, and create tools that have real utility, both for myself and for others.

Why I Built It

Rather than using a standard portfolio template, I chose to design and develop my own website from scratch. My goal was to create something flexible, evolving, and representative of who I am.

This website allows me to:

  • Present my profile clearly to recruiters
  • Highlight projects in a structured and engaging way
  • Go beyond static content by building interactive tools
  • Experiment with ideas in a controlled and personal environment

It is a platform that grows with me.

From Personal Interests to Practical Features

A key aspect of this project is how it transforms personal interests and constraints into useful features.

A Custom Real-Time Schedule for My Class

During my double-degree program, my group of seven students follows courses across two academic years. As a result, no official personalized timetable was available.

Instead of relying on manual adjustments, I created a solution that:

  • Combines schedules from two different academic years
  • Extracts only the courses relevant to our group
  • Provides a single, real-time timetable accessible to everyone from the website and through a .ics live link

This project is now used by my classmates, it is a pure time-saving solution for everyone, allowing us to focus fully on our course and remove the stress of missing a course.

Visualizing My Travels Through an Interactive Globe

Travel is an important part of my personal journey. To reflect this, I created a dedicated page featuring an interactive globe that retraces all the places I have visited.

Rather than listing destinations, this visual approach allows:

  • A global and intuitive overview of my travels
  • A more engaging way to share personal experiences

Personal Dashboards for Everyday Use

Some sections of the website are private and designed for daily use. For example, I built a personal dashboard that aggregates practical information such as:

  • Public transport timings
  • Bike availability near my location

These tools are not designed to be showcased, but to be used. They reflect my approach to technology as a way to simplify decisions and improve efficiency in everyday life.

A Platform Designed to Evolve

This website is intentionally not static. Each feature is designed with a purpose, not just for demonstration. New pages, tools, and ideas are added over time as my academic and professional journey progresses.

In that sense, it is both a portfolio and a laboratory, a place where I test ideas, refine my skills, and transform concepts into pratical outcomes.
